崇宁通宝是北宋徽宗赵佶崇宁年间(1102-1106年)始铸，年号钱。有崇宁通宝、崇宁重宝和崇宁元宝三种。崇宁通宝当十型，钱文为徽宗亲书，所以又其为御书钱。工艺特色非常显著。《宋史·食货志》有记载：“把生铁打成薄片，排放在贮有胆水的槽中，浸渍几天，然后刮取析出的泥状铜(称作“赤煤”)，入炼炉化炼。”崇宁通宝是宋徽宗时期比较重要的钱币之一，因此要仿制它是很难的。目前市场上作假一般有两种方式，一种是改刻，就是用普通钱币改刻成珍贵钱币。另外一种就是造假。如是用跟真币比较，就不难发现首先从文字上看，就没有瘦金体的刚劲有力，也缺乏御书体的那种大气。观察此币不难发现字体刚劲有力，符合徽宗的真迹，实属难得。
此枚崇宁通宝钱币书法清秀骨瘦，铁划银钩，是徽宗赵佶瘦金书体存留世间的真实显现。宋徽宗更因铸钱精绝，当时官造成色在96%-96.7%高于崇宁重宝、崇宁元宝，而与王莽并称“钱法二圣”，是现在青铜钱中价值最高的两种钱币之一。有泉界先贤说:“搜罗此泉数百种，陈览于绿窗绮几之间，真无异展开一部瘦金字帖也”。公元1100年1月，北宋皇帝哲宗病故，由其弟赵佶接替做了北宋第八任皇帝，为宋徽宗。徽宗“性甚机巧，优于技艺”，终日沉迷于书法绘画，不理朝纲。他在位25年，先后铸造了圣宋通宝、崇宁通宝（重宝）、大观通宝、政和通宝（重宝）、重和通宝、宣和通宝（元宝）等6种钱币，其中崇宁通宝和大观通宝的钱文是徽宗亲书的瘦金体。令人叫绝的是折十型瘦金书体的崇宁通宝，该钱币为折十型，锈色古旧，开门的老生坑。之所以谓之大字版，是因此品钱文四字饱满，寄廓接缘。"宝、宁"二字冠点长且向左倾;长点"崇"，斜丁"宁"，高走"通"等，与被公认的各谱均载的大字"崇宁通宝"雷同。除钱径略小外，轮廓宽窄、 穿孔大小、成色亦基本一致。青铜精制，文字骨秀格清，收藏意义大。所以令收藏者对于崇宁通宝的热爱程度是非常的高。Chongning Tongbao was first cast in the Chongning period (1102-1106) of Zhao You, Huizong in the Northern Song Dynasty. There are three kinds of treasures: Chongning Tongbao, Chongning Chongbao and Chongning Yuanbao. Chongning Tongbao Dang type 10, Qian Wen is Huizong's relative book, so it is imperial book money. The process features are very remarkable. "Song Shi. Records of Food and Goods" records: "Pig iron is beaten into thin sheets, discharged into a tank containing bile water, impregnated for several days, and then scraped out muddy copper (called"red coal") to be smelted in a smelting furnace." Chongning Tongbao was one of the most important coins in Huizong period of Song Dynasty, so it was very difficult to imitate it. At present, there are two ways of counterfeiting in the market. One is to alter it, that is, to change it into precious coins with ordinary coins. The other is counterfeiting. If compared with real coins, it is not difficult to find that, first of all, in terms of words, there is no strength and strength of the thin body, nor the atmosphere of the imperial style. It is not difficult to observe the coin and find that the font is strong and powerful, which corresponds to Huizong's authentic works.

This Chongning Tongbao coin, with its delicate and thin calligraphy and silver hooks, is a true manifestation of Zhao You's thin gold style in Huizong. Huizong of Song Dynasty had excellent coinage. At that time, the official color was 96%-96.7% higher than Chongning Chongbao and Chongning Yuanbao. He was also called "the two saints of money law" with Wang Mang, and was one of the two most valuable coins in bronze coins. "Hundreds of kinds of springs have been collected," said the sages of Youquanjie. "It's like launching a thin gold-lettered poster between the green windows." In January 1100, Zhe Zong, the emperor of the Northern Song Dynasty, died of illness. Zhao You, his brother, succeeded him as the eighth emperor of the Northern Song Dynasty and became Huizong of the Song Dynasty. Huizong was "skillful in nature and superior to artistry", indulging in calligraphy and painting all day long and ignoring the Chao Gang. During his 25 years in office, he has forged six kinds of coins, including St. Song Tongbao, Chongning Tongbao (Chongbao), Daguan Tongbao, Zhengtongbao (Chongbao), Chongtongbao, Xuantongbao (Yuanbao), among which the Qianwen of Chongning Tongbao and Daguantongbao is the lean gold body of Huizong's relatives. It's amazing that Chongning Tongbao, a thin gold book with folded ten, is an old pit with rust and old open doors. The reason why it is called the big-character version is that the four characters of Qian Wen are full and close to each other. "Bao, Ning" has a long and left-leaning crown, while "Chong", "Ning" and "Tong" are the same as "Chong Ning Tong Bao", which is widely recognized as the word of "Chong Ning Tong Bao". In addition to a slightly smaller diameter of money, the outline is narrow, the size of perforation, and the color is basically the same. The bronze is refined, the characters are exquisite and clear, and the collection is of great significance. So the collector's love for Chongning Tongbao is very high.
