湖南光绪元宝七钱二分、三钱六分七钱二分、三钱六分一组
湖南省造光绪元宝七钱二分设计精美，铸工精良，存世稀少，为中国银币二十珍品之一。Chuangguang Xu Yuanbao in Hunan Province is one of the 20 treasures of silver coins in China, which is beautifully designed, well-cast and rare in existence.
1897年（光绪二十三年）6月21日，湖南巡抚陈宝箴奏请试铸银元。获准后，他向英国希顿父子造币公司定购了一批造币设备和全套“光绪元宝”钢模，并随即在英国希顿造币厂试铸了库平七钱二分的样币若干。该样币正面点圈内镌“光绪元宝”四字，上镌“湖南省造”四字，下镌“库平七钱二分”六字，两旁镌小花饰。背面中间镌龙图，外围为英文，并镌有“7”和“2”两个阿拉伯数字。
湖南光绪元宝三钱六分此币正面中央珠圈内镌“满·汉文（光绪元宝）”四字；珠圈外缘上端镌汉文（湖南省造）四字；下端镌汉文币值（库平三钱六分）六字，左右边缘两側各镌一长形“六瓣花星”纹。币背面中央镌一“蟠龙图”；上端边缘环镌英文（HU-NAN PROVINCE），中译为“湖南省”；下端边缘环镌阿拉伯数字和英文币值（3 MACE AND 6 CANDAREENS），中译为“三钱六”；左右边缘两側各镌一长形“六瓣花星”纹饰。
诞生背景：   On June 21, 1897 (Guangxu 23) Chen Baozhen, governor of Hunan Province, tried to cast silver yuan. After being approved, he ordered a batch of coinage equipment and a complete set of "Guangxu Yuanbao" steel molds from Heaton Fathers and Sons Mint, UK, and then tried to produce some sample coins of Kuping's 7.2 cents at Heaton Mint, UK. The front of the sample coin is dotted with four characters of "Guangxu Yuanbao", four words of "made in Hunan Province", six words of "Kuping seven cents two cents", and small decorations on both sides. On the back, there is a dragon picture in the middle and English on the periphery. There are two Arabic numerals "7" and "2".

Hunan Guangxu Yuanbao three cents six cents this coin front central bead circle engraved "Man Han (Guangxu Yuanbao)" four words; the outer edge of the bead circle engraved Chinese (made in Hunan Province) four words; the lower end engraved Chinese currency value (Kuping three cents six) six words, left and right sides of each engraved with a long "six petals flower star" pattern. The central inscription on the back of the coin is "Dragon Map"; the upper edge is "Hunan Province" in English (HU-NAN PROVINCE); the lower edge is "Three Money Six" in Arabic numerals and English (3 MACE AND 6 CANDAREENS); and the left and right edges are each inscribed with a long "Six-petal Flower Star" pattern.

   公元1897年（光绪二十三年）6月，湖南巡抚“陈宝箴”向清廷奏请铸造银元，经获准后，湖南省向英国伯明翰（喜敦造币厂）购置了全套设备。并由（喜敦造币厂）于光绪二十四年 (1898年)试铸了《湖南省造·光绪元宝（库平七钱二分）和（库平三钱六分）》两种样币约十枚。据资料记载，有三枚存放在厂博物馆，其余七枚流向中.外藏家手里。后湖南省又根据（喜敦造币厂）的币模进行了稍微改制，并自己铸制了《湖南省造·光绪元宝（库平七钱二分）；（库平三钱六分）；（库平一钱四分四厘）和（库平七分六厘）》四种面值的银元。不知何因，事隔不久，清廷下令“湖南省造币厂”停铸银元，并指明所需银元由“湖北省银元局”代铸。
